Wed, June 28 - Wed Jul 5 (Home to Colorado):
We left home and spent Thursday and Friday with the kids and grandkids in Florence, then went to Beaumont, TX to spend the night.  Saturday and Sunday we spent in Houston with our son Bruce, spent Monday night in Sheffield, TX and Tuesday night in Odessa, TX, where we visited the
meteor crater, which wasn't very impressive, then went on to Fort Sumner, NM and visited the Billy the Kid museum and Billy's gravesite.  On Wednesday we had car trouble crossing Raton Pass and got a wrecker to tow us to Trinadad, CO, where we got a new fuel pump and spent the night in the dealer's parking lot.
Thur, Jul 6 - Mon, Jul 10 (Four days in Loveland, CO):
      We met our friend
Neal Craig in Loveland, CO and went up to Roosevelt National Forest with Neal, his brother Ed and Ed's wife, Mary. and saw some kayakers on the river.  We made two trips to the top of Rocky Mountain National Park.  We continued to Lander, WY, with Neal, where we spent the night at Sinks Canyon State Park.
Tue, Jul 11 - Fri, Jul 14 (Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks):
      We spent 2 nights at
Grand Teton NP, then on to Yellowstone NP, where we camped at the 8200' level with temps in the 50s.  We visited Old Faithful, waterfalls, Minerva's Terrace, Artist's Point and the Fountain Paintpot and saw moose, bison and other wildlife.  Friday night we were on Choteau Lake near Choteau, MT.
Sat, Jul 15 - Mon, Jul 17 (Glacier NP and on to Canada):
      We arrived at
Glacier NP and set up camp in the rain.  Joe and Neal took Neals' pickup camper for a drive over the top of the park on the  "Going to the Sun Road" and saw a bear crossing the road.  Sue stayed in camp and slept.  The weather was better the next day, so we drove over the mountain again and saw the Weeping Wall, mountain goatsground squirrels,  and lots of beautiful scenery.  Sue and Neal walked to a waterfall.  It was still daylight at 10 PM and the weather was chilly.  On Monday, we crossed into Canada and stopped at a Canadian air museum.  Neal turned west up the icefields parkway through Banff and Jasper Parks and we continued north and spent the night at Didsbury, Alberta.  We had a big thunderstorm with heavy rains and hail, during the night, but had no damage to the van or trailer.
