The weather is sunny with blue skies and temp nice. We slept until 9AM. Joe went into town about 11 to get us some Popeye's chicken and red beans and rice for lunch. Our appointment at the RV place is for 1PM. This is a nice campground. We have a pull through with full hookups for $9/night with our Golden Passport. Joe found another pull through by the river, this AM, where we can sit out and watch the tugboats go by, so we moved. We'll be back here tonight after we're done with our RV service, and have decided to stay an extra night. We'll leave for home Sunday AM. We got the email sent from Johnny Bishop RV. The servicing of the M/H is complete and we're back in our spot by the river. This place is DeWayne Hayes Recreation Area and campground, on the banks of the Tennessee/Tombigbee Waterway and run by the Corps of Engineers. The first spot we were in was full hookups, this one is water and electric, but the river is 20' away in front of the M/H. It is a concrete pull through with picnic table, fire ring, trees and squirrels.

We slept late this AM and it's still a bit chilly to sit outside. The sun was shing early but it is now (noon) solid cloudy. We've seen one fair sized boat and several fishing boats go by but no tug boats or barges, so far today. There is barge traffic on this waterway but much less than on the mighty Mississippi. There is a boat launch nearby for launching fishing boats. This would be a good place to come a sit for a week or two. Nine bucks a night with our passport card with water and elec on the bank of the river or away from the river some spots have sewer as well for the same price. Tomorrow we go home until after the holidays.

It was drizzling rain this morning, but we got the car hooked up and came home. It was pouring by the time we got in so we got the essentials out of the M/H and moved inside. There is 3" of water in the basement and the phone is out so can't send email tonight but will get it done.
