On the Road # 6, 2003 - Ft. Huachuca, Sierra Vista, AZ
Monday, Feb 10 (Still at Ft Huachuca/Sierra Vista, AZ):
We slept late and rested. Joe went to the main cg to send email for the first time in a few days, had 40 emails (mostly junk), and sent out 2 "On the Road" letters with pictures.
Tue-Fri, Feb 11-14:
Tuesday we stayed in camp all day and Joe did a few repair jobs. Wednesday we went to North Star buffet for a late breakfast, then to Walmart to fill some prescriptions and pick up some supplies. We've had showers for a couple of days and Wed night, we had light rain most of the night. Thursday, Joe worked on a couple of repair projects on the M/H. The rain stopped around noon and we had partly cloudy all afternoon. Friday, Joe went over to check email and download a couple of our favorite comic strips off the internet, then came back by way of the commissary and picked up some groceries and a bag of candy for Valentines. We do meet some interesting people in our travels. To see some of them, see the picture below. We haven't done much worth reporting, so far, this week.
Sat, Feb 15:
Today we went south to the Arizona Folklore Preserve on Ramsey Canyon Road. We had heard they had programs of western music and folklore on weekends, but the place was deserted. Joe called them after we got home and was told they had a problem with their parking lot and the local zoning board and were temporarily closed, so still nothing to report.
Sunday, Feb 16:
We went to the main campground where Joe sent email and Sue did laundry. Tomorrow we head for Tuscon.
