December, 2007 (Continued):

          On Monday, December 24, Christmas Eve, we went to Florence to spend Christmas with the Best family, Bob, Nita, Nathan and Jenna. We had a great meal with them and opened some gifts that night.

          On Tuesday, December 25, Christmas Day, we opened the rest of the gifts, ate some more and, about 2PM Memaw and Papa came home. We had a great visit.

          On Sunday, December 30, we attended a reception for our old friends Jerry and Charlotte Bishop, at the Beacon Street Baptist Church in Philiadelphia, MS, to celebrate Jerry's retirement. He was our pastor in Freeny, longer ago than we'd like to remember. We had a good time and they gave him quite a sendoff. We wish them the best in their retirement and future endeavors.
